IB Exams Cancelled in UAE 2026 | Alternative Grading System (NECM) Explained
Final examinations for IBO students in the United Arab Emirates are canceled for 2026 because of existing tensions in the region. However, the Non-Exam Contingency Measure (NECM) is going to be used for assessing the performance of students according to internal assessments, course work, and their records. At the same time, IBO is going to cooperate with various universities throughout the world so that they accept the new system of grading, while distance learning continues in the meantime.
