A newsroom dedicated to one education system.
IB News launched because the IB community had no reliable home for journalism. Students relied on Reddit threads for exam advice. Parents found conflicting information across dozens of blogs. Educators tracked policy updates through dense official PDFs. Nobody was doing the basic work of translating the IB world into clear, timely reporting — so we started.
We cover the International Baccalaureate across all four programmes: the Diploma Programme, the MYP, the PYP, and the CP. Our readers are IB students preparing for exams, parents trying to understand a system their own schools never used, and educators looking for reporting that treats the IB seriously.
We are run by Tychr, an IB-specialist education platform. Tychr funds IB News and founded it. Tychr does not direct our reporting. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO).

What we hold ourselves to.
We cite official IBO documents, named school administrators, and verified educators. We do not republish social media rumours as news. If something is unconfirmed, we say so explicitly.
We never publish, link to, or discuss leaked IB exam papers or confidential assessment materials. Students who share or use leaked content risk disqualification by the IBO.
When we get something wrong, we correct it at the top of the original article with the date it was corrected. We do not quietly rewrite articles without noting the change.
Analysis, commentary, and opinion pieces are marked as such. News reporting and editorial opinion are kept separate — you always know which one you are reading.
